League Table - www.sussexbarn.com
With our limited resources, this 2nd successive home SML match centred mainly on personal performances and some final pointers to the BAL team selection for the first match in that League on June 5th.
David Cook's 2nd trial on a calm day was a good omen for his coming season, with a best ever 7.45 showing on the tape.
Our sprinters experienced fairly comfortable wins - David C,Victor Nwagbara and Jordan Smith-Bent were untroubled over 100/200 where most of our team points were accumulated, and there was a bevy of non-scorers. Adam Bellis proved his fitness with a win over 400,Andy Robinson made his point in the Steeplechase,as did Mike Clarke(JT),and it was good to see Maris Kuklis and Richard Mathie in action, the latter making his K&P debut on the track.Over 5000,Matt Hyett produced a PB in closing on a sub 18 mins mark.
Teamwise,we closed on LAC,are 15th overall of 16, but not quite on the bottom rung, thanks to Cambridge Harriers' defaults. |
