Lily B Match 3 Guildford 6th July 2013
Kingston pipped at Guildford
As summer continued to bless us with its long awaited presence, the girls headed south to Guildford, where despite 22 new PBs set we eventually succumbed partly  through lack of numbers, and also some unfortunate injuries,to a strong home team.
Phoebe Law continued her excellent season with three PBs at 1500m, 800m and in the Javelin, whilst Eleanor Bibby also posted a big new PB in the 1500m as well as increasing her shot putt best.   Over the hurdles Eleanor Bartle also posted a  promising new PB.
Overall there were some very fine performances by the athletes who travelled down;just a shame we could not fill a few more gaps which perhaps would have enabled us to retain our league title. Still we have the cup final to look forward to, and with a strong team pulling together,we can hopefully make sure the trophy remains in Kingston's hands.
Please note the final will be at Ewell on the 31st August and to have any hope of winning we need as many people as possible across all the age groups.
Please put this date on the calendar now.
