On a pleasant evening (although a brisk headwind in the home straight slowed times a bit), K and P's men's team made up for it's relatively small size with good individual results to come 3rd on the night. We are 3rd overall as well, but because of Hercules and Striders swapping 2nd and 4th between match 1 and match 2, we are tying with both on league points and there are only about 20 match points between 2nd and 4th, although Epsom are romping away from the rest with 2 wins.
We had wins from Andy Gordon (m35 100), Draco Mkpa (a double m40 100 and 400), Adam Bellis (starting his season after his Kinnaird and Sward warm up injury with the m35 400 - also won a non scoring 100), Stephen Berkeley (m50 400), and the 4 x 100 relay ( Hercules were DQ'd), and Mike May, Chuck Isetts, Mike Edwards, Rupert Bole and Cashel Riordan made up the numbers on the track in the 100, 1500 and 2km walk.

In the field Andy Gordon won the m35 Javelin, and Rob Lowe was 2nd in the m50 Javelin but won the m40 Shot. David Barrington combined a season's debut with officiating and came 2nd in the m60 High Jump and  took part in the m60 Javelin too. Rupert Bole non scoring threw the m50 700g javelin 29.87, and would have matched Rob's position if he'd been the scorer. Other field eventers were Robin Shaw (High Jump) Renzo Di Libero (m50 Shot) Mike Edwards and Mike May (both Long Jump). We're a bit nearer home at Ewell for the next one on June 16th, so let's have a good turnout.
