Some crucial injuries restricted the BAL team to a lowly 7th equal at Moorways Stadium in this Round 2 Match though overall,at the halfway stage,K&P still hold a very narrow advantage in 5th place of the 8 teams, with a home match to come on July 3rd. Some improved track performances and another unholy contribution from Messrs Owen & Roberts could not keep us afloat on the day though 245 points is no mean score. |

In favourable if malodorous conditions, many of the 11 K&P members in action posted season's bests,as if to celebrate Meet Organiser Maurice Joyce's 60th birthday;Camilla Thrush again excelled with an Open Womens Club Hammer record(her own anyway) of 34m.93,also a Club Vets mark, too along with her 24m.69 Javelin.Elsewhere Chuck Isetts & Mike May appreciated the rare helpful, though legal, wind over both 100/200 & Roger Bayliss,in picking up a silver medal over 400,managed to erase a painful midweek 'defeat' !! |
