Tilsley Park,Abingdon & the SoEAA hosted the Southern U15&U20 Inter County and a number of K&P members represented Surrey at both venues.

Dominique Blaize, still U17,once again upstaged her U20 LJ opponents winning at 5m60, though the adverse wind hampered the jumpers. In the U20 Men's match,Kyle Stevens continued his rehab. with 3rd in the SP(6k) at 15.26,also taking 4th in a rare outing at 1.75k DT(37.27);Rob Smith was very close to his best with 38m21 in the 6k HT whilst Humphrey Waddington was his ubiquitous self, even at this level, claiming a fine JT pb at 43m79 after doing 400H/2000Steeple AND 3kWalk! At U15,Stuart Price's was selected but injury is keeping him out of action at present.

Over at the Julie Rose Stadium,Ashford(Kent) there were other, though rather more elderly, ubiquitarians!! On a roasting day,Surrey Womens TM,Camilla Thrush, had selected Nicki Murphy,Nicky Atkins, Jane Searle and, naturally, herself from K&P and, with a full W35/W50 programme, were they busy! Most significant mark was Nicki M's inaugural club vets 400 hurdles record(78.5). In the mens events, where there were 3 age groups in action, there was again some considerable 'quadrupling-up',and Pat Logan,Mike May,Chuck Isetts(2 wins) & David Barrington(2 wins) all met the challenge with equanimity(we understand),with Les Hatton & Maurice Joyce chipping in.Surrey were 2nd behind hosts,Kent in the overall match.
